                               Christmas Parade
The Christmas parade is something our corps participates in every winter. All cadets are encouraged to attend for many reasons. The first being, everyone has a great time. Who wouldn't? Everyone gets dressed up in their nice dress blues. This year we really got into the holiday spirit because this was the first time we decided to wear Santa hats with our uniforms. It's also a time to show off out outstanding numbers and the marching skills everyone had been practicing so hard on. Usually the AS1's are the most excited for it being a new experience, but really everyone gets excited for this event every year. WE all take pride in coming together for a nice community event. In my opinion there's no better way to kick of the holiday season!

                        PT Days
Thursdays and Fridays are my favorite days of ROTC because of PT. After we dress out and stretch, then we begin our activities. My personal favorite is playing Big Ball. I also love taking pictures of the other cadets playing. You always get the one person that has that really funny expression on their face. Seeing everyone through a camera is such a different experience because you can capture moments that you won't ever get to relive. Setting the ball on the ground, then throwing it up in the air. It's so funny to watch the swarm of cadets running in for the ball. PT days are always fun no matter what we do. In ROTC, we are all family. PT days allow us to have fun with our family.

 Tampa Bay Football Game

Being apart of Color Guard has always been fun and exciting, and on August 27th I had never been more happy about joining. Major Lawerence and Lieutenants Eleam, Gilbert, Kirk, Crespo, and myself recieved the opportunity of a lifetime. We had the chance to present the colors at a Tampa Bay Buccanears football game. At first it doesn't sound like a huge deal, but it is a chance to show thousands of people how great Forest High School's AFJROTC really is. Col. B, MSgt Elder, his wife, Kevin Christian, and Col. Domfort also went with us; and boy did we have a great time. We shared a dressing room with the National Anthem singer, and we got to eat our hearts out in the Press Room. That day was truly remarkable and none of us will ever forget that football game. I can't say enough about Color Guard. It takes a lot of pracitice and dedication, but the rewards make everything worth it.

          Cadet Leadership Indoctrination
CLI is an eye opener for many new cadets in ROTC.  It shows them many things about themselves they did not know.  High ropes, low ropes, and the discipline taught at CLI helps to boost self-confidence; a quality that is brought out in them through ROTC, as well as it is important for personal development.  Many other qualities like teamwork, trust, and pride in the corps are taught as well and will remain with the cadets for the rest of their lives.  The motivation brought on by the cadre helps get the cadets through the weekend, and the cadets wouldn't have it any other way.  Congrats to the 2012 CLI graduates!
